IMPORTANT UPDATE
World Cycling events taking place across Scotland 3-13 August – Impact to our collection and delivery services
From 3 August to 13 August 2023, the UCI World Cycling Championships are taking place in various locations across Scotland.
The Championships are expected to have a major impact on the road network and we expect there to be delays, particularly in the following postcode areas on the following days. Please note that for six days, from 5 to 8 August and 11-12 August we will be unable to make any collections or deliveries in Glasgow City Center with road closures in place from 6 am till 8 pm - G1-G4 and G20 postcodes:
· 4 August - PH1-2, PH10, PH15-16
· 5 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
· 6 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20, EH8, EH1
· 7 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
· 8 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
· 9 August - FK7 – 8, DG1-2
· 10 August - FK7-8, DG1-2
· 11 August - FK7-8, DG1
· 12 August - DG1
· 13 August - G1-5, G11-12, G20
As always, our delivery teams will do their best to minimise the impact of these road closures but inevitably there will be delays due to the extent and length of the road closures in place, many roads in the above areas are closed for the entire day.
